Weekend at the beach... with "The Fam"

This weekend my whole family spent our time together at a beautiful beach house in Cambria California. We spent the day at the beach, girls watched, boys surfed. It was really nice to spend that time with my family seeing as we only see each other now about twice a year. This was a nice break for TJ and I to be out here in California, but we both head off back to Florida here in a couple days, so please be praying for safety. When we get back, I am going to be looking for a job with the qualifications that I have and I am praying that God is preparing me
a place right now.

Fishished!

I have now finished my 18 weeks of medical training. There were some times where I wanted to quit and do something else, but I felt like God was telling me this is what he wanted me to do right now, and he has a plan for me in doing this. So after finishing the 3 classes, CNA, Plebotomy EKG, and Advanced Nursing Class, I have completed them all, and found out yesterday that I passed the Patient Care Technician (PTC) Exam, that certifies me nationally to work in any of these areas, so that is exciting news for me.

So now I will be looking for a job, I will let you know when I find one.

Myja's bed

In the Shropshire family household the girls have been redoing their room. They painted the whole room and are putting down new flooring, and each of them are painting something of their own style at the end of their beds (5 of them in this room) so Myja (7) asked me if I could paint her bed... so I did, and we had lots of fun... :)

Sailing

Last weekend TJ decided to surprise me, and take me out on a Saturday sailing trip. We sailed on this little boat out of the canal and into a large river. We sailed for about 5 hours enjoying the hot sun and each other's company. It was a blessed day. I thank God for a wonderful husband.

New Laptop

TJ and I have been saving for some different things, including a laptop, so last weekend we drove ourselves to best buy, and purchased a computer. We were so excited, and decided it was our new baby for now, so we strapped in the back seat, safe and sound... :)
We have chosen to not have a TV for now, but we like to watch movies, so we are excited because this computer is also good for watching movies.

God is good, God is Peace

I found this extremely applicable this week for some reason, and I hope it encourages, and teaches you something as well.
Philippians 4:6-7 "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

My Tj is Okay

We took TJ to the doctor and got things sorted out.  He doesn't have anything major, and we have the proper medicin to take care of it.  It has been an odd week, but it's amazing how much God has taught me this week.  Thank you for praying.
