I've been kicked out of the nest

Normally when I go to the store I go to Spar which is only 5 minutes away, and there is no need for a parking guard, and it just seems safer to me.
So Yesterday...
I drove to Pick n Pay, (our local grocery store) by myself, which is really only 10 minutes away, I gave the parking guard the "ok" to watch the car, I went into the mall, got money out of the ATM... by myself (mind you, it's a little more dangerous here) I went in and got groceries, bought some post cards, came back out, paid the parking guard, and drove home. It doesn't sound like a lot to you, but it was a mini adventure for me. :)
Heather teases me that she is kicking me out of the nest.

Game Park

We went to the game park and made breakfast, and there we saw wart hogs and their baby's, those little things are ferocious, I got chased by one. Those two guys are Gary and Grant, they are the pastor's sons, and I got to hang out with them a lot over the Christmas break, we treated each other like brother and sister, they watched out for me and picked on me, it was quite refreshing.
We saw lots of things, but my favorite was the elephant and giraffe because I've been waiting to see those two animals.

This is what not to do when going on a game drive...

Rainy Day!

It was warm and raining so we ran around the house (literaly) playing in the rain, fun fun, we love playing in the rain.

Worthy is the Lord!

God is at work in me.
As I look around, and am experiencing different things, God is revealing to me the depravity of man. Man's sinful behavior is disgusting. It hurts God to see what He has created sin against Him. Our sin hurts God, no matter what kind of sin it is. My purpose here is to glorify God, to please Him. He loved me first, He Gave his son for me, He has the same love for me that He has for His son, it is equal love... I can't even fathom that. This is why I choose to follow Christ, not because I first loved Him, but because He first loved me. I see how my sin hurts God. Why do we choose to do things when the outcome does not glorify Him. In everything I do, I desire to glorify my Heavenly Father. This desire comes from Christ's life being produced in me. Without Christ I am nothing. Within myself there is nothing good I can do, but by the grace of God through the Holy Spirit's work in my life is it at all possible to please God.

Christmas!

I had a South African Christmas this year, it was hot, yet delightful. We opened our Stockings on Christmas Eve morning, and our presents that night. I felt a part of the family, we had a blast!!!

I got Heather a Kitchen scale because here they measure everything, and we hardly know what to do with out a scale.

Emily and Abby were also very excited about Christmas, they got lots of presents from grandparents and different people from the states, so they were a bit spoiled this year.

On Christmas Eve I got to cook all day it was fun, and I was definitely in my element and felt right at home. Heather likes it when I cook.

I also got packages from my family, so that was nice, I even got to open some of them on Skype on the web camera for them so they even got to watch me open the presents they got for me. It was a blessing!

Corn Starch and Water

On Tuesday nights it's usually just the girls and I, and we like to do fun things. Corn Starch and water, have you ever tried it?
I recommend it, it's really fun!

19 graduates!

Last week on Tuesday was my last day at Amangwe for the Holiday season, but it was the Creche graduation, so 19 kids graduated, and I don't get to see them again, so that was kind of sad.

This picture with the other ladies are the staff that I work with every week at Amangwe.

I will have a break, and it doesn't start back up until January 16th, and that is when I will start going every Friday again.
