21 weeks

This crib was a blessing from a friend at church. She gave it to us along with bedding, sheets, and frills... :)
It is above and beyond what I could imagine for my little girl, so I am very excited. The little girl is definitely coming out in me.

Think Pink

Yesterday TJ went with me to my midwife appointment, all the same-ol' same-ol'. We left there and went to get lunch while I chugged 32 ounces of water. We then headed to Drew Medical where I was to get my ultra sound (that's why I had to drink the water). We were not there long, and were called in, she started the ultra sound, and I couldn't tell what it was at first, but then she started showing us different views of the baby, and measuring everything to make sure the baby was normal, and finally she got to the right shot, and said, "looks like it's a girl"... my heart was overflowing with joy, not just because now I know she's a girl, but because I was looking at the baby inside me, and I was overwhelmed with what God was doing, and how meraculous and creative he is, and what a gift he has given us. I guess you could say a little bit of reality hit me. We got out to the car, and we sat there and prayed for a minute, thanking God for this gift, then I started crying, and was overwhelmed with emotion and greatfulness. It was a really neat time that TJ and I got to share.

19 weeks

Sorry, I haven't updated for a couple weeks.
But WOW!!! In the past two weeks I feel like I have grown a ton, and I am experiencing all kinds of things. I am not feeling sick at all, I only throw up if I have eaten something sweet with no protein. I have had ligament pain, and am now feeling the baby move which is so incredible, TJ felt it for the first time the other night... :). And I now have tail bone pain, not sure why, but I can't sit for very long, it just feels like I'm sitting on my tail bone... :(
And this week TJ is working on getting our septic system fixed... booo! (but we'll be happy when it's fixed.)

The Farrans

A couple weekends ago my "South Africa" family (the Farran's) came to visit TJ and I. This is the family I lived with for 9 months while contributing to their ministry. God has used them to change my life, and teach me many things. It was a blessing for me to have them stay the night and spend some time with us in our own home here in Cocoa, Florida.
It was so nice to see my good friend Heather, and her husband Kyle, we played Settlers of Catan, and had a blast talking. Abby and Emily have gotten older, and changed in good ways, but it was not hard to start where we left off. TJ entertained the girls by having drumming sessions, playing in the park, and teaching them how to get fruit out of the tree with long bamboo polls... that's TJ for you. Of course they grew to like him very quickly.
I hope that my relationship with this family can continue for a life time.
Thank you Farrans for taking the time to come spend time with us.

17 weeks

This has been a hard week, not because I have felt so sick, but because I have had the worst head aches of my life... ones that don't go away, they last for days. Anyway, that has dissipated for the most part, but definitely was not fun.

16 Weeks

This week has been so much better. I still get sick and loose it sometimes, but over all I have had so much more energy. I completely cleaned out and organized my pantry, went through my room throwing things away, organizing and cleaning, dusting and sorting. I was able to clean my whole kitchen, vacuum everything, clean my couches, and do laundry. All those things might not sound fun to you, but when you have not been able to clean your house thoroughly for months, it's pretty much the best feeling, and so... I am praising the Lord this week for this new life I have... :)

15 weeks (and a new niece)

15 weeks and feeling a little better. Amazingly enough, I have felt less sick this week, and have slowly felt like my energy may be coming back.

We started our youth group up after the holidays, and finally got all our Christmas decorations taken down.

Also, my sister-in-law Helen, and brother Barry had their baby girl today Isabella Nellie Griffith, around 2:00, she was 7lb 12oz, and I am so happy to have a new Niece... :)
