Jake and Maggie
Yesterday was a wonderful day to rememeber. Aunt Maggie (TJ's dad's sister) got married to a wonderful man, Jake! It was so exciting to see how God brought them together, now I know some people just say things like that, but really God has done amzing things in their lives. Ava and I had the pleasure of doing the guest booke, Ava welcomed the guests with smiles and cuteness... :)
What a wonderful event, congratulations Jake and Maggie, to a new beginning in your lives, may God be glorified!

Tonight's Dinner
Dinner was an experiment tonight. I have been having fun searching different sites for fun delicious recipes. Tonight I made Chicken Kiev which actually didn't turn out to be that great... oh well. Second on the menu was a blue cheese and red potato tart that I added some yellow squash to, it had a very strong flavor but quite delicious in my opinion, but you do have to like blue cheese. I also found that it tasted better if you let it cool down and settle a little bit. The third item on the menu was broccoli, but I didn't do it right so it ended up not being as tasty as it could have been... oh well. Tonight's dinner wasn't as amazing as I thought it was going to be, but that's what experience will do for you.

NTM Church Service
On Sunday TJ and I got the opportunity to use the whole service to share with our church what we feel like God has called us to... Tribal missions!
We began with a video called Awayo and then explained the video a little bit. We then shared our own stories of how God has worked in our lives, what we have learned, and how he has brought us to where we are now.
We explained our vision for our church, and how our ministry is their ministry, they will be sending us out to do the work of the Lord. We talked about the different ways we see them supporting us, I am praying that people will have a burden to pray for us. We talked about what it means to support us financially and what kind of burden it is, in a good, but hard way. We talked about the bonds we have with our church, spiritually, physically, and emotionally, and how they can encourage us in our walk with God and in our ministry, and just to be there for us in hard and good times.
At the end we had an interactive presentation of what all the NTM jobs are and how they work together to actually get the gospel to the tribal people. We don't know exactly what we are going to be doing, but we know that there are many needs, and we want to serve where God wants us.
We went way late, but I think it was worth it, and now they know who we are and what our future plans are.
They seemed pretty gung-ho. It was kind of crazy, after doing the service Sunday, it just feels so real, like it's actually going to happen. Sometimes I feel like doubting God, because things are not going like we originally planned, and it is already taking longer than I thought. God is so good, and knows what our needs are and what He wants to accomplish in us... so now we continue to trust God in where he has us and where He is taking us!

Sailing
On Saturday we took our youth group sailling, and by we I mean Dave Cicerelli (friend from church) took us all out on His 35 foot sail boat. It was a chilly day, but most wonderful for sailing. There were 8 kids total, and some adults too.. :)
Ava went when she was a month old, and now again at 4 and 1/2 months, she did good, she mostly slept, maybe all that movement reminded her of the old days. ;)
We brought hot togs, and for some reason boiled hot dogs with ketchup and mustard never tasted better... thank you Lori! (my mother in law sent them with us)
Thanks to everyone who joined in on our sailing adventure!

German Chocolate Cheese Cake!
So this is the German Chocolate Cheese Cake that I got off of "Bake of Break Recipes" . I made sure I had all the ingredients then I started this delicious project. It was fun, and interesting I learned some things, like... never again will I make a cake without lining the bottom with parchment paper, it will never stick to the pan that way, that was absolutely wonderful, I couldn't even count the number of cakes I have turned out, and they ended up falling into pieces. Also I think it was my first time making a cheese cake, definitly an experience, but it made for a day and a half of making this cake. Was it well worth it? Yes... for those who love to bake!
Their are a couple problems, the frosting is so good WARM! But you have to keep the cake in the fridge because of the cheese cake in it, so that is sort of a bummer, but other than that everything about it was wonderful! :)

The day's Events.
So... this morning at 5 AM I wake up to the sound of my daughter having a conversation with herself, not only has she broken out of her swaddle, she's kicking off the blanket that covers her bassinet, it was hilarious to see the little foot sticking out of the bassinet.
Later on we went to help my sister in Law, Cherie with this food co-op she helps with. Yet again Ava gets to hang out with her cousin Levi, they seem to be quite fascinated with each other, she just stares at him, while knawing on the arm that he just threw in her direction. He stares at her for a time, then flails his arms in excitement hitting her face pretty much every time, this is my kind of entertainment these days.
Lately I have arrived at dinner time, not having any inspiration as to what to make... I have started resorting to cooking sites. Today we had "Zucchini and Ricotta Galette" from the Smitten Kitchen ,it was so very tasty and I will definitly be making it again!

long time no blog

I'm sorry it has been so long since I have blogged, I have not had the internet access to do so. TJ and I had our second anniversary on October the 11th, we didn't have alot of money, so we took a camping trip... of course it was Ava's first time, lots of mosquito bites, but other than that, very fun!
Ava is 4 and 1/2 months old and has been rolling over every time we put her down. She has been just talking up a storm, she smiles all the time, and laughs quite often, but really makes you work for it, you should see the goof balls she has turned us into.
We have been really involved in our church, and are excited about what God is doing there. Also we are doing the service this coming Sunday, and we will be sharing our missions vision, and letting the church know exactly what we will be doing... I'm excited to finally be able to share our heart with everyone in church.
That's all for now, I'll share again soon!
